When someone in your church says, “I’m gay,” how will you respond?

ReStory is a network of ministry leaders and individuals endorsed by the Assemblies of God who are committed to equipping our local AG churches to address homosexuality and gender identity.

We offer strategies for pastors, educational material for congregations, and hope and tools to people who struggle with sexual or gender problems so that everyone in our fellowship will have a ready answer when someone says, “Can you help?”

New stories of hope and transformation are waiting to be written. Is your church ready to be a part of the story?

We know the issues firsthand

We’re a group of people who’ve been impacted by homosexuality. Some of us have struggled with it personally, some of us have had LGBT loved ones, and some of us have spent decades ministering to gay, lesbian, and transgender people. We know these are issues we can’t hide from. We also know there’s much more we could be doing about them. (Read ReStory Ministries’ official position statements.)

So we formed ReStory Ministries

ReStory Ministries is a tax-exempt non-profit corporation endorsed by the Assemblies of God, to equip AG churches to minister to people affected by homosexuality and gender problems. We offer educational materials, seminars, and consultations to equip pastors and leaders to respond effectively when a member of their congregation says, “I think I’m gay,” or “My daughter just announced she’s lesbian,” or “My best friend is transgender, how should I respond?”

We also help local churches establish their own ministries, and we consult with pastors when they have a situation in their church or staff calling for redemptive, balanced action.

Since we’re concerned about the challenges our next generation is facing, we develop curriculum churches can use to educate their youth about sexuality from a biblical perspective, maintaining faithfulness to the AG’s official position on homosexuality while offering practical guidelines for expressing and living out that position in our churches, families, and culture.

Every church equipped

We want to see every AG congregation worldwide prepared to address these issues with clarity, compassion, and confidence. We want our churches to be places where grace and truth are never compromised, and where a person can say “I struggle” without feeling condemned in his struggle, or condoned in his sin. We want to see every congregation become a place of disciple-making and healing for those seeking help.

A word from Dr. James Bradford

General Secretary of the Assemblies of God and our Advisor

Increasingly our culture is going to be evaluating the Church based on its view on homosexuality, gay marriage, and transgender issues, so we have never more been in need of a resource like ReStory Ministries.Dr. James Bradford, General Secretary of the Assemblies of God and our Advisor

Are you Ready?

The need is clear and growing. Our hope is to meet it by becoming co-laborers with everyone in our fellowship who wants to serve those touched by homosexuality and gender issues.

There is hope.
There is healing.
There are new stories to write.
